Jr. NBA Skills Challenege

The Jr. NBA Skills Challenge presesnted by Under Armour provides boys and girls, ages 13 and younger, the opportunity to showcase their fitness through a dribbling, shooting, and rebounding skills competition in the sport of basketbal.  They will compete individually through an obstacle course where they will zig-zag dribble through cones, speed dribble, shoot, rebound, and will try to score as many points possible by making shots from designated shooting spots in 1 minute.  The participant concludes the one minute competition with one free throw for bonus points. 

AGE GROUPS:

There are two age groups: 11U and 13U with boys and girls competing separately.  Boys and girls ages 13 and under MUST provide a copy of a valid birth certificate or other proof of identification for age verification.  

Age Groups Born Between

11 U                    Born on or after September 1, 2008

13 U                    September 1, 2006 - August 31, 2008

LOCAL COMPETITION: 

NuBreed Academy will host a local competition on December 30th 2019 starting at 12 pm.  We will stay as long as we need to to ensure all kids get a chance to participate.  Each player may participate in only ONE local competition.  Competing in more than one Local Competition will result in disqualification.  

There will be a 1st, 2nd & 3rd place finisher in each age and gender group.  These finishers in each age and gender group will advance to the Regional Competition. 

REGIONAL COMPETITION: Sunday, April 5th 2020

The Regional Competition will take place on Sunday, April 5th 2020 at 9 am at the Pacers Athletic Center in Westfield, IN. Only the Local Competition 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers will compete in a Regional Competition. The 1st place finisher in each age and gender group from each Regional Competition location will automatically advance to the National Finals! Players will recieve t-shirts, awards, and potentially team sponsor related items. 

NATIONAL FINALS: June 23, 2020 - June 26, 2020

The National Finals conclude in New York City before the 2020 NBA Draft presented by State Farm.  Finalists will win an all-expense paid trip to New York City, receive gift bags, attend special evetns, interact with NBA/WNBA/G-League Players, Legends & Draftees, and attend the 2020 NBA Draft presented by State Farm. 

REGISTRATION PROCESS:

1. Sign up for this event below
2. You will receive a confirmation e-mail with instructions on how to register thorugh the Jr. NBA website.  Registration is not complete until you complete this step.  
3. Bring a copy of your child's birth certificate with you when attending your local competition
