TRAVEL TEAMS
NuBreed Academy offers competitive travel teams from 2nd-11th grades. As of 2022, Travel Teams are INVITE ONLY. Travel teams play from March-July each year with games in and out of state. In the past our travel teams have competed on the Under Armour Future Circuit as well as Prep Hoops Circuit.
UNDER ARMOUR FUTURE
Our elementary & middle school girls & boys programs are part of the Under Armour Future Circuit! The UA Future circuit is the premier grassroots basketball circuit for the U.S.
Our teams travel around the U.S. during the Summer to compete on this circuit.
PREP HOOPS CIRCUIT
Our Boys & Girls 8th Grade through High School teams play on the Prep Hoops Circuit, which is the #1 Independent grassroots circuit in the U.S. Boys teams compete in the "Grit" Region and Girls teams compete in the "Victory" Region. In 2021, our teams will travel to Alabama, Michigan & Tennessee to compete. All events on this circuit are "exposure" events, designed to get our players in front of scouts & college coaches. Games are livestreamed!

HOW MUCH DOES THIS COST?
We want every kid to have a chance to play at an elite level, that's why we do our best to keep our team fees low. We also offer scholarships and discounts for those who need it. PLEASE do not let finances be a barrier, we will figure it out, we just want the kids to have this experience! Typically, families are responsible for paying for jerseys (around $100) there is a low monthly training fee (which covers practice time) and then tournament costs are split up evenly amongst team members. We will do a LOT of fundraising to help offset these costs and families will be required to participate in fundraising.
WHAT IS TRAVEL BALL?
Travel Ball is NOT rec league. This is high level basketball. Tournaments take place on weekends (usually Saturday & Sundays). We typically travel on Friday's to the city we will be playing at that weekend and spend the night Friday & Saturday night. Each family is responsible for booking their hotel at the required team hotel (we all stay at the same hotel). Hotels can range anywhere from $100-$150/night. Tournaments typically charge a fee for spectators that can be anywhere from $5-$25 per person. We have lots of team members that carpool to tournaments and share hotel rooms. We try to fundraise to help offset these additional costs to families.
UNDER ARMOUR REQUIREMENTS
For our teams that play on the Under Armour Circuit, every team member is required to be dressed head to toe in Under Armour gear. This means: jersey, shorts, shoes, socks, headbands, backpack etc all must be Under Armour branded.
TEAM PERKS
Team members will receive a 50% discount on all private & group training while in travel ball season. Team members will also get private open gym time. Each team member will have their bio/headshot featured on our website. Games & Highlights will be posted on our YouTube page. We also do social media promotion for all our high school athletes. Team members also receive a discount at Wolfe Wellness, which offers massage and personal training.
